At the time, pet spa services were virtually nonexistent in Vietnam, and as a first-time pet owner, Linh was determined to provide the best care possible. That desire soon evolved into a mission ~ one that led her to Beijing, China, where she formally studied professional grooming.<br><br>Driven by passion and fueled by resilience, Linh returned to Vietnam and opened her very first grooming salon using a high-interest loan as her starting capital. Within two years, she repaid her debt and began expanding her vision.<br><br>Today, Linh owns three successful pet salons and two grooming academies. Her institutions have trained more students than any other grooming school in Vietnam for several consecutive years, contributing to a strong, nationwide community of skilled professionals. <div>For more than 25 years, Alaina has been a professional pet groomer. About a decade into her career, she found herself experiencing burnout and searching for a way to reignite her passion. That search led her to creative grooming&mdash;and it completely transformed her career.</div>
<div>Initially drawn to the artistry, Alaina quickly became fascinated by the science behind creative grooming, studying color techniques, skin and coat health, product chemistry, and safe application techniques. Combining her lifelong passions for art and animals gave her a renewed sense of purpose and creativity.</div>
<div>As the owner of Pawfections Pet Salon in Kennebunk, Maine, Alaina introduced creative grooming to her community at a time when no other local salons were offering anything like it. She later expanded into Asian Fusion styling, discovering that creative grooming is about far more than just color&mdash;it&rsquo;s about bringing out the unique personality and individuality of every dog.</div>
<div>Creative grooming also led Alaina into competition, where she discovered a love for freestyle artistry and runway presentation. She earned a 3rd Place finish in Intermediate Freestyle at the New England Grooming Show and is continually pushing herself to grow as both an artist and educator.</div>
<div>Today, Alaina is passionate about helping groomers rediscover their creativity, build confidence, and continue learning. She believes creative grooming has the power to inspire, elevate the profession, and remind groomers why they fell in love with the craft in the first place.</div>

Since entering the grooming world in 2010, Alicia has combined her passion for animals with a deep love of art, creating show-stopping pieces that turn heads and spark joy.</div>
<div>Her creative journey began while training at The Academy of Dog Grooming Arts in Illinois, where she first witnessed creative grooming as a competition category during the All American Grooming Show. That experience lit a fire in her&mdash;setting the course for a career defined by innovation, storytelling, and individuality.</div>
<div>Alicia first began experimenting with creative color on her wirehaired dachshund mix, using mohawks, tassels, and ear color to showcase canine personality. In 2018, she acquired her first white poodle and entered the world of extreme creative grooming, making her competitive debut with a playful design and quickly escalating to more ambitious themed concepts.</div>
<div>By 2023, Alicia was dominating the ring. She earned 1st place in the Creative Open Division at three major grooming shows&mdash;Windy City, PetQuest, and SuperZoo&mdash;with her standout Indiana Bones theme. <div>Alicia Walker grew up in the grooming industry, learning the craft in her mother&rsquo;s salon from a young age. Surrounded by competition grooming and creative work, she developed an early fascination with color&mdash;experimenting even as a child by using her mom&rsquo;s makeup to add a little flair to the family&rsquo;s Golden Retriever.</div>
<div>She began grooming professionally at 17 under the mentorship of her mother, a Certified Master Groomer, building a strong technical foundation while continuing to explore her passion for creative grooming. By 2006, Alicia was already experimenting with coat coloring&mdash;well before widely trusted products were available&mdash;testing and refining techniques to ensure both quality results and pet safety.</div>
<div>As her skills evolved, she expanded into airbrushing and eventually brought her creativity beyond dogs, applying her techniques to horses. What began as airbrushing grew into full coat coloring, allowing for longer-lasting, high-impact designs that have become a signature part of her work.</div>
<div>Today, Alicia is known for her vibrant, imaginative creations that turn heads and spark conversation. Whether it&rsquo;s a brightly colored dog or one of her famously transformed horses&mdash;like her &ldquo;Temu Zebra&rdquo;&mdash;her work consistently brings joy to her community. She is passionate about educating others on safe creative grooming practices and takes pride in showing just how fun, expressive, and responsible color work can be.</div>

<div><strong>Creative Grooming Artist</strong><br>Alissa Law is a rising creative grooming artist based in Tucson, Arizona, where she blends imagination, storytelling, and skilled technique to create joyful, narrative-driven transformations. Her journey into creative grooming began just three years ago when she entered a local mock competition in Phoenix and transformed her standard poodle, Georgette, into a striking black-and-pink unicorn&mdash;earning her a placement for "Most Creative" and igniting a newfound passion.</div>
<div>Alissa dove headfirst into the competitive circuit, entering her first trade show at SuperZoo with a bold A Bug&rsquo;s Life themed design. That experience taught her the value of planning, and as a talented sketch artist, she began mapping her concepts out on paper before ever picking up a clipper or dye brush. Her next design, based on the Disney classic Oliver &amp; Company, featured a cityscape, a taxi cab, and beloved characters sculpted across her poodle&rsquo;s coat&mdash;a nostalgic tribute to one of her favorite childhood films and a personal creative breakthrough.</div>
<div>Over time, Alissa has grown more confident with each competition, particularly in the art of carving&mdash;once a challenge, now a source of excitement and expression. For her, creative grooming offers the freedom to merge art with affection, bringing both dogs and their stories to life through color, texture, and playfulness.</div>
<div>Alissa owns and operates Georgette&rsquo;s Paw Spaw, a boutique grooming service offering one-on-one care and pet-safe color in a fun, comforting environment. Her work reflects a genuine love of learning and a desire to keep pushing her creative boundaries.</div>
<div>As a proud member of the GCGA USA Chapter, Alissa is part of the next wave of artists helping to shape the future of creative grooming&mdash;bold, joyful, and always evolving.</div>

<div>Amber Messenger discovered her passion for animals at an early age, growing up in a small town where her love for pets quickly became a defining part of her life. Her first dog, a Pekingese with a big personality, sparked an early fascination that only deepened over time. At ten years old, she received a dog encyclopedia that she still treasures today&mdash;an early symbol of her curiosity and dedication, even proudly sharing it at school for show and tell.</div>
<div>At eighteen, Amber began working at a local animal shelter, gaining hands-on experience and strengthening her connection with animals. In 2012, she entered the grooming industry as a bather at Petco, where she met a mentor who would shape the course of her career. Under Shelly&rsquo;s guidance, Amber was introduced to professional grooming, with a strong emphasis on safety, proper handling, and respect for the animals in her care. During this time, she also gained experience assisting with cat grooming, though she found her natural connection and understanding to be strongest with dogs.</div>
<div>In 2016, Amber attended the Northwest Grooming Show, where she further expanded her education by completing pet CPR training and attending a creative grooming seminar with Angela Kumpe. This experience sparked a new level of inspiration, leading her to explore creative grooming more deeply. Shortly after, she welcomed a white Standard Poodle into her life, providing both a companion and a canvas to begin practicing color work and creative expression.</div>
<div>Amber went on to successfully run her own grooming business for five years, building a loyal clientele and strong reputation. However, driven by a desire for continued growth and new opportunities, she made the decision to relocate to the Oklahoma City area to further challenge herself and evolve within the industry.</div>
<div>While Amber values all aspects of grooming, creative work is where she feels most inspired. She finds that artistic grooming ignites a sense of purpose and energy, allowing her to fully express her passion for the craft. Whether through subtle accents or more expressive designs, she embraces every opportunity to bring creativity into her work.</div>
<div>Today, Amber continues to refine her skills while balancing both technical and creative grooming. Alongside her Standard Poodle, Bubbles, and her white Pomeranian-Poodle mix, Zues, she continues to explore color and design, using her own dogs as both inspiration and creative partners.</div>

<div><strong>Creative Grooming Artist</strong><br>Andrea Zelinsky is a creative grooming artist based in Shamong, New Jersey, known for her whimsical themes, runway flair, and deep admiration for the legends of the grooming world. Her journey began in 2004 after completing grooming school, when she attended Groom Expo in Hershey, Pennsylvania for the first time. It was there&mdash;staring in awe at the creative grooming stage&mdash;that she knew this was the path she wanted to follow.</div>
<div>For nearly a decade, Andrea immersed herself in the creative grooming community, studying the work of pioneers like Angela Kumpe, Lori Craig, Cindy Oliver, Adrienne Pope, Leslie Waldrep, and Milena Kon. Though she didn&rsquo;t yet have a creative dog of her own, she found her outlet in abstract runway, where glitter, glam, and bold styling gave her a space to shine.</div>
<div>In 2019, she finally acquired her own creative companion, Winnie, and began preparing to enter full creative competitions. But just as she was ready to take the leap, the COVID-19 pandemic brought everything to a halt. During that time, Andrea experimented with color at home&mdash;giving Winnie a tie-dye look that sparked a new level of creativity and joy. From that moment, she was hooked.</div>
<div>Since then, Andrea has brought to life enchanting themes such as Winnie the Pooh, Hocus Pocus, and a Macy&rsquo;s Thanksgiving Day Parade tribute&mdash;infusing each piece with storytelling, charm, and artistic detail. In 2024, she took a step back from competition to focus on earning her National Certified Master Groomer (NCMG) credential, with plans to return to the ring in 2026 with renewed vision and skill.</div>

<div>Blaze Schoen is a creative grooming artist and mobile salon owner based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Known for their thoughtful approach to color work and commitment to pet comfort, Blaze combines artistry with technique to deliver imaginative grooming experiences both on stage and in everyday salon settings.</div>
<div>Their introduction to creative grooming began in 2018 at their first grooming convention, where a single encounter with the creative stage sparked a personal goal: to one day compete among the best. That moment came in 2020 at a competition in Atlanta, where Blaze, despite the sudden disruption of a COVID-related shutdown, stepped into the ring with determination and a freshly prepped poodle named Kilala. The experience sealed their passion for creative grooming&mdash;and fueled a desire to keep growing.</div>
<div>Blaze has since competed in various categories from abstract design to salon freestyle, but creative grooming remains at the core of their artistic identity. Their work is known for merging client vision with technical execution, always with an emphasis on the pet's safety and comfort. Certifications in Pet Safety and First Aid, Skin and Coat Therapy, and Salon Sanitation reflect a deep commitment to professional standards.</div>
<div>In 2021, Blaze launched Grooms by Blaze, a mobile grooming business that brought their creative work directly into clients' driveways. <div>Brandy Wilson is a third-generation groomer based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, whose story is deeply rooted in family, legacy, and a love for the grooming industry. When her grandmother&mdash;herself an accomplished groomer&mdash;passed away unexpectedly in 2000, Brandy stepped into the salon with no formal training, relying only on instinct and memory. What she discovered was a natural talent and an unshakable belief that she was continuing the work her grandmother had left behind.</div>
<div>Over the years, Brandy built a successful grooming career and became certified in Bichon grooming. But after more than a decade in the industry, she found herself losing the passion that once fueled her. That changed in 2014, when she came across an issue of Groomer to Groomer magazine featuring a creative masterpiece on the cover. Unfamiliar with extreme creative grooming at the time, she was stunned&mdash;and then inspired. Within six months, she entered her first creative competition and never looked back.</div>
<div>Since then, Brandy has earned multiple awards and placements in creative grooming.</div>
<div>She continues to compete and advocate for creative grooming as both a craft and a meaningful bond between pet and artist. Known for her vibrant designs and heartfelt storytelling, Brandy brings emotion, humor, and education to the forefront of her work&mdash;often using her platform to inform and uplift others in the creative community.</div>
<div>Brandy owns and operates Shaggy Chix Pet Spa, a mobile grooming business that has served the local community for over 25 years. She travels across the United States to compete, always eager to connect with fellow groomers and showcase the power of creativity.</div>
<div>As a proud member of the GCGA USA Chapter, Brandy Wilson is not only a seasoned competitor, but a passionate protector of the art form that reignited her love for grooming&mdash;and a living example of how legacy, love, and creative expression can come together through grooming.</div>

<div>Brittany Dixon is a certified grooming professional and emerging creative artist based in Surprise, Arizona. With five years of experience in the grooming industry, Brittany blends a strong technical foundation with an adventurous, client-focused approach to creative grooming that continues to evolve.</div>
<div>Her journey into creative grooming began unexpectedly. A year into her career, she began experimenting with color on her Shihpoo, Lilly. What started as playful practice quickly turned into a deeper interest in design. Encouraged by her progress, she enrolled in her first creative grooming class&mdash;and from there, curiosity turned into passion.</div>
<div>In 2022, while registering for SuperZoo, Brittany found her usual competition categories were full&mdash;except for one: creative grooming. Pushed out of her comfort zone, she decided to take the leap. Her first full-body creative design marked a turning point. From that moment forward, she was hooked.</div>
<div>Since then, Brittany has immersed herself in hands-on education, learning coat carving and themed styling while building a growing portfolio of seasonal and customized creative grooms. From Valentine&rsquo;s Day hearts to Halloween costumes and football team logos, her work now brings color and joy to both clients and their pets.</div>
<div>She holds certifications in IPG CPG, Skin &amp; Coat Therapy, and Advanced Skin &amp; Coat, which allow her to combine artistic grooming with safe, skin-conscious practices. <div>Brittnie Anderson is a creative grooming artist and the owner of Colorful Canines in Nampa, Idaho, where she specializes in poodles, doodles, and color-rich transformations that blend technical precision with artistic flair. A lifelong animal lover with a background in visual arts, Brittnie discovered her passion for grooming in 2015 and has since built a career grounded in compassion, patience, and creativity.</div>
<div>With a childhood love of painting and drawing, Brittnie naturally gravitated toward creative grooming as a way to merge her artistic instincts with her love of animals. She began experimenting on her own dogs&mdash;starting with subtle accents like ears and tails, and progressing to full-body animal prints and elaborate themes.</div>
<div>In 2021, she acquired her first poodle to challenge herself in the creative arena, and in 2023, she stepped into the competition ring for the first time at SuperZoo, earning 3rd place in the Entry Division. The experience confirmed her commitment to creative grooming, and she returned home inspired to keep pushing her limits&mdash;so much so that her husband&rsquo;s bet to &ldquo;win and get another poodle&rdquo; led to the addition of a second creative companion in 2024.</div>
<div>Brittnie continues to grow her creative clientele year after year, with seasonal favorites like Fourth of July and Christmas-themed designs becoming a signature offering. Her commitment to education is ongoing, with annual participation in both online and in-person grooming seminars to refine her technique and stay current with industry trends.</div>

<div>Danielle Costea began her grooming journey at age 19, working as a bather in a corporate salon before becoming a certified groomer. Now, with over a decade of experience, she has fused her deep love for animals with a lifelong passion for the arts&mdash;especially grooming, photography, and videography.</div>
<div>Her first glimpse of creative grooming came when a white Maltese walked into the salon with a pastel unicorn tail. That moment lit a spark in her&mdash;an emotional and nostalgic connection to art, self-expression, and the whimsical spirit of childhood. Danielle instantly knew she had found her calling in creative grooming.</div>
<div>Though her early creative work was limited to the occasional splash of color, everything changed in 2024 when she welcomed Lyra, her dream standard poodle. With Lyra as her muse, Danielle dove headfirst into the world of cosplay creative grooming&mdash;transforming her into beloved characters like Pinkie Pie and capturing the process through playful, cinematic content that quickly gained global attention.</div>
<div>Danielle is the founder of Grooming Grandeur, her soon-to-open grooming salon built around the values of innovation, expression, and community. <div>Dawn Omboy&mdash;affectionately known throughout the industry as the Queen of Color&mdash;is a true pioneer in the world of creative grooming. With over four decades of professional experience, she has witnessed and shaped the evolution of grooming trends, techniques, and tools. When she began her journey, no dog-safe coloring products existed. What followed was years of trial, experimentation, and innovation that helped lay the foundation for the global movement we now call creative grooming.</div>
<div>Her first creative transformation came in the late '80s when she dyed her poodle orange for Halloween using Clairol Jazzing, humorously convincing her husband it wasn&rsquo;t a new dog&mdash;it was a pumpkin. That spark of imagination ignited a career-long love affair with color and expression, leading her into the competition ring with her first standard poodle, Pearl. Though she placed consistently, it wasn&rsquo;t until her vibrant jester design at Hershey in 1999 that she finally earned first place&mdash;and her royal title.</div>
<div>Throughout her career, Dawn was inspired by early icons of the craft such as Kathleen Putman, Jeanne Mulcahy, and Donna Holtzer. These mentors helped shape her vision, which she has since passed on to generations of groomers through judging, teaching, and product development. Dawn is also the founder of PetChalk, a product born in the competition ring and nominated for Barkleigh Honors Best New Product in 2012.</div>
<div>Now retired from competing, Dawn continues to educate, inspire, and elevate the industry. Her work has helped make creative grooming not just a novelty, but a respected art form embraced worldwide.</div>

Surrounded by the energy of live competitions and passionate groomers, Emily instantly knew she had found her people&mdash;and her future.</div>
<div>Without a creative dog of her own, Emily turned to model dogs as a stepping stone, discovering a limitless playground for learning and experimentation. What began as a workaround quickly evolved into a full-fledged passion. From coat carving to vibrant color application, she soon mastered the techniques needed to bring any vision to life&mdash;and began offering those transformations to her salon clients with pride and precision.</div>
<div>Emily has since competed in every major grooming class&mdash;live and model dog alike&mdash;except for extreme creative on live dogs, which remains on her horizon. Her work blurs the lines between purebred grooming and abstract art, treating traditional styles with the same creativity and intention as her more colorful designs.</div>
<div>Today, she grooms at Pet Supplies Plus and continues to push her boundaries in the salon and competition ring. Whether on a model or a living canvas, Emily is proof that creativity thrives where curiosity, courage, and community meet.</div>

Her passion was immediate&mdash;and within just a few months, she was not only bathing and styling but experimenting with pet-safe dyes. From the beginning, creative grooming felt like home.</div>
<div>For years, Heather followed creative competitions from the sidelines, flipping through Groomer to Groomer magazines and dreaming of seeing her work in the ring. During the COVID-19 lockdowns, she began submitting entries to Opawz&rsquo;s online competitions, earning a 2nd place win in 2021 and a growing belief in her own talent. By 2023, she was ready to step into the competition ring in person, debuting with a Pok&eacute;mon-themed groom at Groom&rsquo;d in Atlanta. Nervous and unprepared for the scale of the event, Heather still walked away with a 2nd place finish&mdash;validating years of study, creativity, and quiet perseverance.</div>

<div>Creative Groomer<br>Hunter Moore is the owner of The Yuppie Puppy, a boutique grooming salon located in Stamping Ground, Kentucky. She is also a proud mom of four amazing kids, and her life has always been deeply rooted in animals, hard work, and a passion for exceptional care.<br>Raised on a ranch in Colorado, Hunter&rsquo;s introduction to grooming began at an early age. She traveled across the country competing in national-level livestock shows with cattle and hogs, where presentation, preparation, and attention to detail were everything. That experience instilled in her a deep appreciation for the artistry behind grooming and the pride that comes from presenting an animal at its very best.<br>Over time, her passion evolved from livestock to dogs, and she quickly discovered that dog grooming was not just a skill&mdash;it was her calling. She dedicated herself to mastering the craft, spending countless hours refining techniques and developing an eye for detail that allows each dog&rsquo;s natural structure and personality to shine. What began as a personal passion ultimately led her to open The Yuppie Puppy, where she strives to provide a grooming experience that blends quality, compassion, and elevated style.<br>When she&rsquo;s not behind the grooming table, Hunter can often be found competing at grooming competitions across the country with her Bedlington Terrier. She regularly participates in events such as Freestyle and Clipper Classic, which challenge her to continue growing and refining her craft at the highest level.<br>At The Yuppie Puppy, Hunter&rsquo;s goal is to provide every dog with a calm, thoughtful grooming experience while delivering beautiful, high-quality results. Grooming is more than just a service to her&mdash;it&rsquo;s an art form, and every dog that walks through the door is treated with the care, respect, and attention they deserve.</div>

<div>Jaclyn started painting her poodle's nails about two years ago as a way to help desensitize her to having her paws handled during grooming. What began as a simple training exercise quickly became an incredible creative outlet.</div>
<div>Having always enjoyed crafting, design, and nail art, Jaclyn found the perfect way to combine those passions with working with dogs. She has loved the journey of learning new techniques, challenging herself with fresh designs, and developing the patience that creative work requires.</div>
<div>Working on such a small scale with a client who can't verbally communicate has taught Jaclyn a great deal about canine communication. She has learned that patience, practice, and trust are the foundation for creating beautiful nail art while ensuring the experience remains positive for the dog.</div>
<div>Completely self-taught, Jaclyn enjoys experimenting with new ideas and techniques. She often draws inspiration from her own nail art, current trends, traditional grooming, and creative grooming. If a design doesn't work the first time, she simply tries again, explores a different method, or experiments with new colour combinations. For Jaclyn, every attempt is an opportunity to learn and grow.</div>
<div>Jaclyn works exclusively with non-toxic, water-based pens that are safe for both pets and children. Her ever-growing collection includes more than 100 pens, over 200 sheets of nail stickers, multiple nail files, a nail grinder, and a variety of other tools. She loves discovering new colours, refining her techniques, and continuing to push the creative possibilities of canine nail art.</div>

<div>Janice Andress has been a dedicated member of the grooming industry since 2009, with a deep passion for creative grooming that took center stage in 2022 when she began actively competing in creative competitions. Her journey has since expanded to the international stage, where she continues to represent her vision and skill with pride.</div>
<div>Her creative journey began with Joy, her first standard poodle and grooming partner, whose personality and talent helped shape Janice&rsquo;s early designs. Their partnership blossomed across competitions until Joy&rsquo;s unexpected passing, a moment that deeply impacted Janice both personally and professionally. In Joy&rsquo;s honor, Janice continued her path with Stella, a promising young poodle who made her creative debut with a vibrant SpongeBob SquarePants-themed design. Though initially shy, Stella quickly gained confidence in the ring, and her transformation captured the hearts of judges and audiences alike.</div>
<div>Recognizing the physical toll of frequent coloring, Janice thoughtfully rotates her creative dogs&mdash;giving them well-earned breaks between seasons. With the addition of Victoria to her team, she ensures that each poodle has time to rest, regrow, and thrive.</div>
<div>Through her business, Lovable Puppy Spa, Janice brings her artistry directly to her clients&rsquo; doors with a mission to spread creativity and care. Her commitment extends beyond competition&mdash;she&rsquo;s passionate about mentoring others and supporting their creative growth within the industry.</div>
<div>As a proud member of the GCGA USA Chapter, Janice Andress continues to uplift the community with talent, heart, and a deep belief in the magic of creative grooming.</div>

<div><strong>Creative Groomer</strong><br>Jeanne Orgeron has combined her lifelong passions&mdash;animals and art&mdash;into a vibrant and fulfilling career in creative grooming. She began learning the craft at just 12 years old and has now spent over two decades as a full-time groomer. Based in Harvey, Louisiana, Jeanne is the heart behind Puppy Love Grooming, where her artistry comes to life through both everyday grooming and striking creative designs.</div>
<div>Her love for creative and abstract grooming shines most brightly through her work with her two Standard Poodles, Giovanni and Lakely. Giovanni, recently retired from the competition ring, was best known for proudly showcasing an elaborate Mardi Gras theme. His successor, Lakely, made her debut with a fleur-de-lis abstract design, earning second place while paying homage to their beloved hometown of New Orleans.</div>
<div>Now in her 60s, Jeanne brings wisdom, warmth, and an enduring spirit to every aspect of her work. She views grooming as inherently artistic&mdash;believing that even standard pet trims require creativity to achieve that perfect, polished look. For her, creative grooming is more than competition; it's community. Jeanne thrives on the camaraderie at grooming shows, where she&rsquo;s found lasting friendships and a supportive family of like-minded artists.</div>
<div>As a proud member of the GCGA USA Chapter, Jeanne Orgeron continues to celebrate creativity, connection, and a career she truly loves.</div>

<div>For Jennifer Nellett, creative grooming has always been a way to let her imagination run wild. A groomer for nearly two decades, Jennifer finds her greatest joy in translating the visions in her mind into vibrant, living art on the coats of dogs. Based in Weatherford, Texas, she is the owner and lead stylist at Darwin&rsquo;s Grooming Palace, where she continues to bring color, confidence, and creativity to her clients every day.</div>
<div>Her journey into creative grooming began 19 years ago with a little white mixed breed named Ozzealla. Long before specialized products were available, she used food coloring and vinegar to create a Valentine&rsquo;s-themed look. While the result may have left the dog (and the bathtub) covered in unexpected polka dots, it ignited a passion that still burns brightly today. Jennifer and Ozzealla&rsquo;s mom still laugh about that first attempt&mdash;a memory that marks the start of a colorful career.</div>
<div>In the last seven years, Jennifer has entered the world of creative grooming competitions, earning placements and growing her skills while traveling the country. She values the bond forged with her dogs through travel and grooming, considering them the best companions for both adventure and artistic expression. Her work not only brings joy to others but also instills confidence in the dogs themselves&mdash;sometimes all it takes is a splash of color to make a pup shine inside and out.</div>
<div>As a proud member of the GCGA USA Chapter, Jennifer Nellett continues to share her heart through every groom, making the world more colorful one design at a time.</div>

<div>Jessica Bechtel is a self-taught pet groomer with a lifelong love for creative grooming. Her journey began in childhood with her beloved cream standard poodle, Sasha&mdash;her &ldquo;heart dog.&rdquo; Even as a young girl, Jessica was already experimenting with color, using Kool-Aid and Manic Panic to turn Sasha pink and discovering the joy of expressing her creativity through grooming.</div>
<div>After Sasha passed away, Jessica continued to pursue her passion, eventually becoming a professional groomer and opening her own business, Vanity Fur Grooming LLC, in Richland Center, Wisconsin. Over time, she welcomed five more standard poodles into her life and embraced creative grooming more seriously. With each dog, she explored color, design, and the artistic freedom that comes with stepping outside traditional breed trims.</div>
<div>For Jessica, creative grooming is about more than aesthetics&mdash;it&rsquo;s about heart, community, and self-expression. She finds deep connection in the creative grooming world, often moved to tears by the stories and experiences shared at competitions. <div>Based in the lakeside city of St. Joseph, Michigan, Jolene Jipping is a creative grooming artist whose journey reflects both courage and transformation. A longtime admirer of the vibrant creative classes at grooming expos, Jolene once watched from the audience, quietly aspiring to one day be good enough to take the stage herself. That moment came when she welcomed Navi, a white standard poodle who would become her muse and catalyst for artistic exploration.</div>
<div>Determined to build her skills, Jolene immersed herself in every creative grooming course she could find&mdash;at trade shows and beyond. With Navi by her side, she began experimenting with temporary dyes, exploring bold ideas and playful themes. Two years later, she stepped into the competition ring for the first time&mdash;a powerful and emotional experience marked by self-doubt, tears, and the encouragement of fellow artists. That moment, she says, changed everything.</div>
<div>Today, Jolene channels her creativity through both her competitive work and her professional salon, Sudzy Puppy Grooming Salon LLC, where her day-to-day grooming is elevated by the artistic techniques she continues to refine. Her signature style centers on self-expression, joy, and storytelling&mdash;and each design is a tribute to the growth she&rsquo;s achieved through art.</div>
<div>While her dream of gracing the cover of Groomer to Groomer remains, Jolene finds fulfillment in sharing her work, exchanging ideas, and forming lasting friendships within the creative grooming community. Her story is a reminder that the greatest obstacle is often ourselves&mdash;and the greatest reward, pushing past it.</div>

<div>Kiera began her professional grooming journey in the summer of 2022, during a pivotal period of personal growth and career exploration. With a long-standing passion for animals and an interest in cosmetology, she quickly recognized grooming as the ideal intersection of both. She enrolled at Merryfield Grooming Academy in Oakland Park, Florida, where she discovered her calling and committed fully to developing her craft.</div>
<div>From the outset, Kiera was drawn to the artistry and independence that define the grooming industry. While in training, she immersed herself in hands-on experience, working as a bather in a boutique salon where she was exposed to a wide variety of breeds and grooming styles. This early experience allowed her to build a strong foundation in preparation work&mdash;an element she considers essential to achieving high-quality results&mdash;and to begin forming meaningful connections within the industry.</div>
<div>Throughout her career, Kiera has had the opportunity to learn from respected mentors, including a former GroomTeam USA competitor who played a key role in shaping her technical precision and discipline. Under this guidance, she developed a strong appreciation for structure, accuracy, and the importance of mastering foundational skills.</div>
<div>Artistically, Kiera has found her niche in creative grooming and Asian Fusion styling. She has pursued continued education through seminars and workshops, drawing inspiration from leading educators in the field. She is particularly passionate about scissoring, shaping, and creating balanced, expressive finishes. To further refine her eye for structure, she often incorporates sketching into her creative process.</div>
<div>Kiera began competing early in her career, earning a second-place placement with a Poodle in her first competition. This achievement reinforced her drive to grow within the competitive grooming space. While she continues to work toward top placements, she remains grounded in the process of learning, consistently seeking opportunities to improve and evolve.</div>
<div>Her professional experience includes working alongside talented teams in South Florida, where she further developed her skills in breed standards, terrier work, and advanced preparation techniques. These experiences strengthened her belief in the importance of returning to fundamentals while striving for excellence.</div>
<div>Creative grooming, including color work, has become a natural extension of Kiera&rsquo;s artistic expression. Through ongoing education and collaboration, she has developed both confidence and responsibility in this area, and she values the opportunity to share inspiration within the grooming community.</div>
<div>Now approaching four years in the industry, Kiera takes pride in her growth and the path she continues to build. She views grooming as both a profession and a creative outlet&mdash;one that offers continuous opportunity for development. She is passionate about contributing positively to the industry, advancing her skills in both technical and creative grooming, and supporting others in their journeys.</div>
<div>With the support of her Standard Poodle, who serves as both muse and creative partner, Kiera continues to explore freestyle and Asian Fusion competition work while establishing her voice within the global grooming community.</div>

<div>Madeline&rsquo;s career is marked by high achievement: she graced the cover of Groomer to Groomer Magazine in 2023, won Best All Around at Pet Pro 2023, and secured multiple 1st placements in both creative and breed-specific grooming competitions including the Clipper Classic and UKC Best in Show. Her attention to detail and commitment to technical excellence has made her a standout, especially in the realm of show and poodle grooming. She currently owns and actively shows an English Cocker, American Cocker, and Bedlington Terrier.</div>
<div>Outside the salon and competition ring, Madeline channels her energy into education, mentorship, and continual learning. She is a certified Vet Assistant, CPR-trained, and passionate about raising the standard of grooming through both technique and compassion. Recently, she&rsquo;s returned to her childhood love of horses, and within just over a year, her herd has grown from one to four&mdash;yet another canvas for her grooming and care skills.</div>
<div>Driven by excellence and a genuine love for animals, Madeline continues to grow as both an artist and a professional. Her work reflects not only skill and vision but a deep emotional bond with every creature she touches.</div>

<div>
<div>Madi Holt began her grooming career immediately after graduating high school in 2013. From the first time she picked up a pair of clippers, she was captivated&mdash;watching the hair fall to the floor became a transformative moment, sparking a deep and lasting love for grooming. Over the years, her artistry and passion have merged through creative grooming, where her background in painting and visual art naturally aligned with her profession.</div>
<div>Inspired after witnessing Alyssa Kasiba&rsquo;s creative work at SuperZoo, Madi stepped into the world of color, character design, and transformation. Starting small with ears and tails, she soon progressed to full-body designs&mdash;her first being a zebra pattern on a beloved poodle client. Since then, her skills and vision have flourished.</div>
<div>Today, Madi is a key part of the All Pet Grooming team in Utah, where she continues to blend technique with imagination. She&rsquo;s passionate about sharing knowledge and helping others discover the joy of creative grooming. Known for her humility, dedication, and community spirit, Madi embodies the evolving craft of creative grooming and is always looking for the next challenge&mdash;or canvas.</div>

<p data-start="179" data-end="641">Creative Groomer</p>
<p data-start="179" data-end="641">Mary&rsquo;s inspiration for creative grooming comes from a lifelong love of color and animals. She has always been drawn to visual expression, and creative grooming allows her to enhance a dog&rsquo;s natural features while telling a story through thoughtful color placement and design&mdash;without ever overpowering them. For Mary, creative work should highlight a dog&rsquo;s structure, personality, and comfort first, while adding artistic expression in a safe and responsible way.</p>
<p data-start="643" data-end="1084">She has been professionally grooming since March 2025, and has been safely coloring her own service animals for just as long. Before becoming a groomer, she often added color to her Black Mouth Cur, Brock, to make him more approachable in public, as his appearance could sometimes intimidate people unfamiliar with the breed. That experience showed her how color can positively shift perception while maintaining professionalism and welfare.</p>
<p data-start="1086" data-end="1370">In July 2025, she welcomed her black and white parti poodle, Priscilla Lily, and immediately began exploring more advanced creative concepts with her. Priscilla Lily has become both her canvas and her inspiration, allowing Mary to experiment, refine techniques, and grow artistically.</p>
<p data-start="1372" data-end="1781">As a newer groomer, Mary is deeply passionate about continuing to learn, improve her technical skills, and push herself creatively. She values education, collaboration, and integrity within the grooming community, and she is grateful for opportunities to share her work. Mary remains committed to growing as a creative groomer while contributing to a supportive, inspired, and evolving grooming community.</p>

<div>Meagan Townsend has been grooming professionally for over 15 years, beginning her career straight out of high school. While her foundation lies in traditional grooming, she discovered the world of creative grooming about four years ago and hasn&rsquo;t looked back since. Embracing color, carving, and transformation, Meagan brings a spirited and hands-on approach to learning, always striving to grow her skills with the support of the vibrant grooming community around her.</div>
<div>Meagan&rsquo;s passion for poodles began with her first purebred standard, originally chosen as a blank canvas for fun trims. That relationship quickly evolved into a full-fledged love for the breed&mdash;its intelligence, versatility, and grace both in grooming and in sport. Today, she owns and operates OMG Poodles, a breeding program dedicated to producing well-rounded standard poodles for sport, service, and companionship.</div>
<div>Her primary creative partner is Sekhmet, her beloved poodle and go-to competition dog. Known for her calm and patient demeanor, Sekhmet enjoys every step of the creative process, often dozing off on the table while color sets&mdash;then proudly strutting her finished look with flair. Meagan has also dabbled in creative grooms on client dogs, but it&rsquo;s Sekhmet who consistently helps bring her visions to life.</div>
<div>From hand-scissored show trims to vibrant creative designs, Meagan combines artistry with breed integrity in every groom. Her journey is proof that growth comes from curiosity, community, and a willingness to get your hands dirty.</div>
<div>As a proud member of the GCGA USA Chapter, Meagan Townsend is committed to advancing creative grooming through thoughtful artistry, education, and a deep-rooted love for the poodle breed.</div>

Her love for animals has always been the driving force behind her work, and grooming quickly became the perfect outlet to combine her artistic side with her passion for pet care.</div>
<div>Just two years into her grooming journey, Melissa began exploring creative grooming. What started as chalk, mohawks, and tail dyes quickly evolved into full-scale transformations. Her first competition, hosted locally in Utah, sparked a deeper passion&mdash;and from there, she dove headfirst into continued education, both online and in-person. Within a year, she was competing at large-scale shows across the country, earning multiple second-place finishes and placing third at SuperZoo, one of the industry&rsquo;s most prestigious competitions.</div>

<div>Melody Hubbard&rsquo;s love affair with poodles and color began long before creative grooming was a movement. As a lifelong poodle parent, she recalls spraying her first miniature poodle pink with a can of colored hairspray&mdash;marking the beginning of a 25-year journey exploring the joy and expression of pet-safe color.</div>
<div>Though not a professional groomer by trade, Melody has spent decades experimenting with dyes, learning techniques such as coat carving through private lessons, and sharing her vibrant designs with the world. Her work is not rooted in competition, but in connection&mdash;bringing smiles and wonder to people wherever her colored poodles go. Whether it&rsquo;s a stroll through town or a gathering with fellow poodle lovers, Melody takes pride in the joy her dogs inspire, often becoming the centerpiece of spontaneous photo sessions and curious conversations.</div>
<div>Melody has entered a handful of creative and abstract grooming competitions purely for fun, embracing the spirit of the community without the pressure of placement. For her, creative grooming is about self-expression, artistry, and celebrating the special bond between pets and people.</div>
<div>As a proud member of the GCGA USA Chapter, Melody Hubbard represents the heart of creative grooming&mdash;joyful, expressive, and deeply connected to the animals she loves.</div>

<div>Michelle Keyes began her grooming career at PetSmart, where her initial experiments with creative grooming took place on her own dogs and those of supportive coworkers. Her spark for creative expression ignited after attending her first grooming expo in 2018. Soon after, Michelle transitioned to a private salon, where mentorship and exposure to competitive grooming helped fuel her passion.</div>
<div>Her competition journey started with an unexpected twist&mdash;her original creative dog, Chloe the doodle, required emergency surgery just before the event. Undeterred, Michelle returned the following year with her poodle, Galbatorix, and brought to life a festive Grinch-themed design. Although she didn&rsquo;t place, the experience deepened her love for creative grooming and the community that comes with it.</div>
<div>Michelle has trained under notable industry leaders such as Angela Kumpe, Alyssa Kasiba, Holly Bruns, and Heather Kowalski, but credits much of her growth to hands-on experience and the lessons that come from trial and error. She continues to create both subtle and elaborate designs in the salon&mdash;from vibrant mohawks to Mardi Gras-themed looks and even a giraffe.</div>
<div>Michelle currently grooms at Pawlins Total Pet Care in New Orleans, where she brings joy and flair to the grooming table with every colorful transformation.</div>

<div>Mikhail Williams discovered the world of creative grooming in an unexpected and transformative way. After serving eight and a half years in prison, he re-entered society in 2019 and began working alongside his wife at her grooming business. One day, seeing his restlessness, she handed him some dye and encouraged him to have fun experimenting&mdash;and that moment changed everything.</div>
<div>In 2020, Mikhail earned 3rd place in the Rodeo Rescue competition, which led to an opportunity to compete at Hershey. Since then, he has fully immersed himself in the creative grooming world, finishing four Standard Poodles to their Grand Championships and building a loyal clientele who trust him for bold, imaginative designs. Airbrushing quickly became his signature strength, and poodles remain his favorite canvas due to their coat's versatility and ability to hold color and style.</div>
<div>Mikhail&rsquo;s artistry and story have captured national attention&mdash;his work has been featured in both the LA Times and Vogue Magazine, and he has been the subject of two documentaries exploring both his journey in AKC conformation and the competitive creative grooming scene.</div>
<div>Today, Mikhail works at Hollywood Dog Spa in Stanton, California, where he continues to inspire others with his fearless creativity and dedication to the craft. He embraces every part of his work&mdash;from traditional grooming to artistic experimentation&mdash;and is always eager to take risks and try new techniques in pursuit of innovation.</div>

<div>For as long as Natalie can remember, animals have been at the center of her life. Raised on a ranch, she spent her childhood riding horses from the age of two, competing in barrel racing, participating in rodeo pageants, and eventually earning the title of Rodeo Queen. Her passion for animals wasn't something she discovered later in life&mdash;it was simply how she was raised.</div>
<div>Growing up, Natalie was immersed in the world of dog grooming. Her mother was a professional groomer and breeder, so much of her childhood and teenage years were spent helping in the grooming salon, bathing dogs and assisting wherever she could. Those early experiences naturally led her into a career in professional grooming, where she has now spent more than 15 years, including the last five years specializing in creative grooming.</div>
<div>Although she loved working with dogs from the beginning, Natalie initially wasn't convinced traditional grooming would be her lifelong passion. Routine pet trims didn't fully satisfy her creative side, and she knew there had to be another path within the industry that would challenge and inspire her. The moment she discovered creative grooming, everything changed.</div>
<div>Determined to learn, Natalie began asking trusted clients if she could create artistic designs on their dogs at no charge, simply for the opportunity to practice and improve. Each design fueled her passion even more. She dedicated countless hours to attending seminars, studying advanced techniques, and expanding her skills through continued education.</div>
<div>Her creative journey reached a new level when she welcomed her Standard Poodle, Nikki, into her life. Nikki became both her muse and creative partner, allowing Natalie to push her artistic abilities even further and bring increasingly ambitious designs to life.</div>
<div>Today, creative grooming is far more than a service&mdash;it's Natalie's artistic expression. She loves transforming every dog into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece while always placing the pet's comfort, health, and well-being above everything else. Each groom is thoughtfully designed to reflect both the dog's personality and the owner's vision.</div>
<div>For Natalie, the greatest reward comes from watching a dog proudly show off its new look and seeing the excitement on the owner's face. Those moments are a constant reminder of why she fell in love with creative grooming.</div>
<div>To Natalie, grooming has never been just about haircuts. It's about building trust, celebrating creativity, and creating unforgettable experiences for both pets and the people who love them.</div>

<div>Scott Blackburn&rsquo;s creative grooming journey began not with clippers in hand, but as a supportive husband attending a charity grooming event nearly a decade ago. Watching his wife Michelle in action inspired him to take a more active role, and after years of cheering from the sidelines, the two entered the ring together&mdash;kicking off a team effort that has grown into a shared passion and artistic partnership.</div>
<div>Their debut as a team revealed the power of collaboration and the importance of critique. <div><strong>Creative Groomer</strong><br>SeAndria Duckworth&rsquo;s journey into creative grooming began unexpectedly fifteen years ago when she discovered Lori Craig&rsquo;s dazzling booth at the Atlanta Pet Fair. That first exposure sparked a passion that would quietly simmer until she found the right opportunities&mdash;and mentors&mdash;to let it flourish.</div>
<div>Her creative awakening began during her time managing a grooming salon that encouraged add-ons, where she first explored stencils and airbrushing. The real turning point came years later, at a Pasadena convention, where a color class led by Erin Martin introduced her to the depth and artistry of competitive creative grooming. Despite a five-year pause in hands-on creative work, SeAndria stayed engaged through education, waiting for the right moment to return.</div>
<div>That moment arrived when she competed at SuperZoo, receiving an Honorable Mention in the Creative Division&mdash;a debut that validated her talent and fueled her confidence. Encouraged by feedback and supported by seasoned groomers in the prep room, SeAndria continued to thrive. Her work has since been recognized at major expos, including 3rd place in the Poodle class at the Teton Grooming Expo and multiple accolades at Rescue Rodeo events.</div>
<div>Now the owner of Andria&rsquo;s Mobile Pet Salon and an OPAWZ distributor, SeAndria combines creativity with professional expertise. She is a Certified Pet Groomer, Certified Feline Master Groomer, and is currently completing her NDGAA Master Groomer title.</div>

<div><strong>Creative Groomer&nbsp;</strong><br>Stacy Przybylinski&rsquo;s grooming journey began at just 13 years old, quickly progressing to show grooming for top dog handlers by the time she was 14. It was a walk through Intergroom years later, alongside her mother, that would shift her entire perspective. Watching legends like Angela Kumpe, Lori Craig, and Adraine Pope being photographed for their award-winning creative grooms lit a fire within her&mdash;and from that moment, she knew she was meant to be on that stage.</div>
<div>Initially skeptical of creative grooming, Stacy's outlook transformed into admiration, respect, and determination. With no classes or mentors in the beginning, she taught herself&mdash;experimenting with color, learning through trial and error, and practicing on supportive friends&rsquo; and clients&rsquo; dogs. Her first competition at Intergroom featured a Dr. Seuss theme. Though she didn&rsquo;t place, it became a defining moment in her creative development.</div>
<div>Since then, Stacy has grown not only in skill but in community. She credits the creative grooming world for its unmatched camaraderie, support, and friendship. <div>Stacy Brown&rsquo;s journey into creative grooming began long before her first salon appointment&mdash;it started in a barn. As a child, she spent her days grooming horses, carving shapes into their coats, and braiding or beading manes whenever she had the chance. Any dog that wandered too close became her next grooming experiment, setting the stage for a lifelong love of animal transformation.</div>
<div>Years later, when a grooming colleague dyed a poodle pink, it reignited something in Stacy. Watching creative competitions quickly became her favorite part of industry shows. Unlike many who work with poodles, Stacy embraced the challenge of showcasing her Afghan Hound, Aurora, in competitions&mdash;turning a typically uncarvable drop coat into a bold canvas for expression.</div>
<div>With guidance from mentors including the legendary Dawn Omboy, Stacy entered online competitions and placed with both a Pomeranian and her Afghan. Her first live event, the Atlanta Pet Fair in 2021, was a breakout success&mdash;winning 1st place in the Entry Creative Dog &amp; Cat Styling division with Aurora.</div>
<div>Aurora has since retired from the ring, but Stacy&rsquo;s drive is only growing. She&rsquo;s eager to return with a new Afghan and continue competing, pushing the boundaries of coat type, design, and creativity in the grooming world.</div>

<div>Tosha began her grooming career in the winter of 2015, working for a local grooming shop in New Mexico. In January of 2019, in her late thirties, she began grooming a few dogs out of her home. Within just a few months, she had become so busy that she built her own shop to accommodate her growing clientele. She considers herself extremely blessed to have built a business that continues to grow and be sustained by loyal clients who have entrusted her with their wonderful pets.</div>
<div>Although the grooming industry in New Mexico is unfortunately not regulated, Tosha has always prioritized her education and continually strives to improve her skills and be the best she possibly can. She takes great pride in her work and always prioritizes the safety and comfort of the animals in her care.</div>
<div>Tosha began her creative grooming journey in 2021 when she dyed her miniature horse for a local playday and absolutely fell in love with color and the creative possibilities it offered. She finds creative grooming both fun and deeply rewarding, and she loves seeing the smiles and joy her creative grooms bring to others.</div>
<div>She is also passionate about community involvement. Tosha attends the annual career fair at the local high school, bringing her poodle and miniature horse, who are always a huge hit with students and staff. She also enjoys taking her mini poodle, Riot, to visit a local nursing home, where he brings smiles to residents&rsquo; faces.</div>
<div>Tosha truly loves the feeling of completing a groom&mdash;whether creative or a traditional pet groom&mdash;and seeing the confidence it brings to the animal. It is a highly rewarding career, and she is grateful every day to be able to do what she loves.</div>

<div>Victoria Pereira&rsquo;s journey into creative grooming began long before she ever held a professional clipper. Raised in Visalia, California, she spent her childhood deeply involved in 4-H and FFA, showing livestock and developing a natural ease around animals. From the age of eight, clippers became an extension of her hand&mdash;first for cattle, then eventually for pets. Though she initially planned on a career in veterinary medicine, her heart ultimately led her toward grooming, where creativity, compassion, and connection came together.</div>
<div>After completing grooming academy in 2012, Victoria quickly stood out&mdash;not just for her speed and instinct, but for her heart. She regularly volunteered at animal shelters, donating grooms to help neglected and matted pets look and feel their best. One pivotal experience&mdash;watching a newly groomed shelter dog get adopted by a smiling family&mdash;confirmed that grooming wasn&rsquo;t just a job. It was a calling.</div>
<div>Creative grooming entered her life during the height of the pandemic. Looking for joy during a dark time, Victoria began experimenting with color on her own pets. The response was immediate&mdash;clients, friends, and the community were captivated. What began as simple acts of color quickly turned into something much more meaningful: she began donating creative grooms to children&rsquo;s hospitals, service animals, and shelter dogs in need of visibility and healing. Most of her creative grooming clients today are emotional support animals or working dogs who help uplift others.</div>
<div>Victoria is also a passionate educator and community advocate. As a member of the Forsyth County School Board and frequent guest in local classrooms, she is actively developing a grooming education program for high school students. She offers seminars and demonstrations for kids, seniors, and families, often accompanied by cheerful balloon animals&mdash;a nod to her grooming studio&rsquo;s playful logo and her belief in keeping learning joyful. At her salon, young clients often receive a custom balloon animal while they wait for their pets to be pampered.</div>
<div>Though still early in her competition journey, Victoria has earned placements and accolades in grooming contests and has been featured in multiple local publications and even on the cover of 400 Life Magazine. Yet, for her, the true reward lies in the daily transformations&mdash;helping a pet shine, lifting a child&rsquo;s spirits, or bringing joy to someone who simply needed a smile.</div>
<div>As a proud member of the GCGA USA Chapter, Victoria Pereira celebrates the intersection of creativity, compassion, and community through every groom she touches.</div>

<div>Wayne's journey in the pet care industry began with a deep love for animals and a desire to understand them beyond the surface. As a Registered Veterinary Technologist and graduate of Fort Valley State University, he built a strong foundation in animal health, behaviour, and welfare. That knowledge continues to shape his approach to grooming, ensuring every pet is handled with patience, safety, intention, and respect for their individual needs.</div>
<div>Over the years, grooming has become much more than a profession for Wayne&mdash;it has become an art form. He views every groom as an opportunity to enhance a dog's confidence, personality, and natural beauty. His creative grooming experience spans a wide variety of breeds, coat types, temperaments, and styles, from breed-standard trims to personality cuts, colour work, shaping, pattern design, and expressive styling. For Wayne, creative grooming isn't about changing who a dog is; it's about highlighting their individuality while always putting their comfort and well-being first.</div>
<div>As the Founder and CEO of Happy Hearts Pet Care Services in Atlanta, Wayne has built a luxury grooming salon where creativity, education, and compassionate care come together. Every dog he grooms, every client relationship he builds, and every challenge he overcomes has strengthened his skills as both an artist and a professional. He believes growth comes through experience, continuous learning, and a commitment to raising the standard of excellence in the grooming industry.</div>
<div>Wayne sees creative grooming as a form of storytelling. The coat becomes the canvas, the dog's personality provides the inspiration, and the finished design is meant to bring joy while always respecting the animal beneath it. His passion extends beyond the grooming table through educating pet parents, mentoring fellow grooming professionals, and sharing knowledge that promotes both artistic expression and exceptional animal care.</div>
<div>His journey has been one of continuous growth, filled with lessons, challenges, achievements, and countless remarkable pets that have reinforced why he chose this profession. Wayne remains committed to learning, evolving, and pushing his creativity, always striving to lead with compassion, purpose, artistry, and heart.</div>

<div>Yassani &ldquo;Anii&rdquo; Meza&rsquo;s creative journey began long before she ever picked up a pair of grooming shears. A lifelong artist, her father always told her she would work for Disney one day&mdash;and that belief in her talent planted the seed for everything to come. As an immigrant in the U.S. facing limited access to formal education, she overcame personal loss and life&rsquo;s curveballs to find her calling in an unexpected place: a groom shop, where she was handed a Chihuahua and asked to paint its nails. That small moment changed everything.</div>
<div>Anii fell in love with the grooming world and quickly picked up hands-on experience at the salon. But it wasn&rsquo;t until she met her coworker Monica&mdash;who introduced her to the world of creative grooming&mdash;that she realized she could merge her two passions: art and animals. Creative grooming became her canvas, and dogs, her living, breathing works of art.</div>
<div>Through every challenge&mdash;including navigating toxic work environments, becoming a mother to three young children in two years, and launching her own business&mdash;Anii remained committed to her vision. With the encouragement of her husband, she opened Pretty Paws Furry Salon LLC, a bold, artistic space focused on bougie, over-the-top transformations and high-end canine styling. Their motto? Different is beautiful&mdash;and sparkle is welcome.</div>
<div>In January 2025, she made her competition debut at the Windy City Show, earning two Best First Timer ribbons, a milestone that only fueled her desire to grow further in the creative grooming industry. With an ever-expanding list of goals, Ani looks forward to attending more shows, sharpening her techniques, and continuing to inspire pet parents through imaginative styling and joyful expression.</div>
<div>As a proud member of the GCGA USA Chapter, Yassani Meza is dedicated to redefining the grooming experience&mdash;infusing it with heart, artistry, and a fearless pursuit of individuality.</div>

<div>Linda Sayer is a passionate and evolving creative grooming artist based in Norwich, Ontario. A graduate with honours from DogPort Academy of Dog Grooming in 2006, Linda is the founder and lead stylist at The Shaggy Dog, a full-service grooming salon known for bringing joyful, personalized grooming experiences to pets of all sizes.</div>
<div>Though Linda had long admired the world of creative grooming, it wasn&rsquo;t until later in her career that she allowed herself to fully embrace the art. Determined to take the leap, she purchased a white standard poodle&mdash;the perfect canvas&mdash;and began exploring her creative potential. Her very first design, a Halloween skeleton, awakened her love for coat carving, dyeing, and the deep bond that forms between artist and pet in the process.</div>
<div>Linda's competitive debut brought early success: her abstract design won first place in a take-home competition, followed by a third-place finish at a subsequent event. However, her first live competition brought unexpected challenges and self-doubt&mdash;an experience that tested her resilience. Rather than retreat, Linda recommitted herself to practice and growth, and since then has continued to compete and showcase her creations with pride.</div>
<div>Certified in Pet First Aid, as well as creative seminars with Nicole Beckman and Lori Craig, Linda continues to refine her craft while spreading joy through her designs. Whether winning awards or simply hearing someone say &ldquo;Look at that dog!&rdquo; with a smile, she finds the greatest reward in bringing her vision to life and making others happy.</div>

<div><strong>Creative Groomer</strong><br>Nikki began her professional journey in the beauty industry, first as a nail technician and later as a hairstylist specializing in vivid, creative color. Transformation, self expression, and turning the ordinary into the unforgettable were always her passions ~ she just didn&rsquo;t yet know they would lead her to a completely different canvas.<br>In 2010, she stepped into the world of dog grooming, and everything changed. Creative grooming instantly felt like home: the artistry of color, the joy of transformation, and the chance to express personality in a whole new medium. Dogs became her living canvases, and her artistry flourished.<br>But in 2018, her entire world stopped. A life threatening series of diagnoses, including a liver tumor, POTS, gastroparesis, and a spinal tumor forced her out of work for two years. The future was uncertain, but her spirit wasn&rsquo;t done fighting. When she began to recover, she returned to grooming with a renewed sense of purpose and a determination sharper than ever.<br>In 2022, that determination took shape in the form of a dream fulfilled: she opened The Neon Dragon Ltd. with her business partner, Carly Reimer. What began as a vision for creativity and color quickly grew into a hub of community, compassion, and artistic expression in Manitoba.<br>By 2025, The Neon Dragon expanded into a second location, and soon after, they launched The Neon Dragon Grooming Academy ~ a program that has proudly graduated 23 students across Manitoba. Teaching, mentoring, and watching new groomers build their futures has become one of the most meaningful chapters in her journey.<br>From beauty school to the grooming table, from illness to independence, her story is one of transformation ~ not just for the pets she colors and styles, but for herself. Every groom she creates is a reminder of resilience, artistry, and the power of beginning again.<br>As a proud member of the GCGA Canada Chapter, Nikki continues to elevate creative grooming through passion, empowerment, and fearless self expression.</div>

Her grooming philosophy centers on creating calm, trusting environments where even the most nervous dogs can grow in confidence.</div>
<div>Nikki&rsquo;s journey into creative grooming began with her beloved rescue Shar Pei, Helga. Though limited by Helga&rsquo;s short black coat, Nikki found joy in exploring pet-safe nail painting and color sprays&mdash;sparking a love for the art form that would grow over the years. In 2020, the arrival of her white standard poodle, Indie, changed everything. From small dye jobs to a full Halloween skeleton design, Indie became the perfect canvas. The duo entered their first creative grooming competition in 2023, and Nikki has been hooked ever since.</div>
<div>Surrounded by a supportive team of groomers at Tidy Ups Pet Services, Nikki continues to learn, compete, and bring a touch of joy and color to every groom.
