Rachel Key
American Chapter
Creative Groomer
Rachel Key’s journey into creative grooming began in 1999, when she witnessed her first competition at the Atlanta Pet Fair. By 2006, she entered the ring herself with a rescued toy poodle, igniting a lifelong passion for the art form. From her beloved “Eeyore” design to years of creative expression with her standard poodle, Storm, Rachel has built a legacy defined by dedication, transformation, and love.
Now the proud pet parent to three standard poodles and one toy, Rachel has showcased her talent across numerous competitions, earning placements in creative, abstract, and freestyle divisions at World Groom, Groom Expo, Mastergroom Canada, PetQuest, and more. But for Rachel, the accolades are only part of the story.
She finds the true reward in the journey—the sacred bond formed with her dogs, the lifelong friendships made behind the scenes, and the joy her work brings to spectators. As one of the most seasoned creative competitors still active in the ring, Rachel takes pride in mentoring and uplifting the next generation of creative groomers, championing a culture of positivity and progress.
As a proud member of the GCGA USA Chapter, Rachel Key embodies the enduring spirit of creative grooming—where artistry, connection, and legacy continue to shine center stage.
