GotM August 2026: Anna Marie Schuth

GotM August 2026: Anna Marie Schuth

This month, we’re celebrating the incredible creativity of Anna Marie Schuth of @citrusk9grooming, and her stunning Standard Poodle, Saoirse!

Saoirse’s breathtaking blue wings are more than just a beautiful creative grooming design. They’re a tribute to one of Anna Marie’s favorite book series and a reflection of the meaning behind her dog’s name.

A Groom Inspired by a Beloved Story

When Anna Marie was first choosing a name for Saoirse, one of the names she considered was Karou, a character from Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. Although she ultimately chose Saoirse, the inspiration stayed with her.

From the very beginning, Anna Marie had envisioned giving her girl a set of blue wings. Years later, that idea finally came to life, and the result is absolutely magical.

Saoirse’s name is an Irish Gaelic name meaning “freedom,” derived from the word saor. For Anna Marie, the name represents resilience, freedom, flight, and determination. Qualities that felt especially fitting for a Standard Poodle and service dog.

And now, Saoirse has the wings to match. 🩵💙🪽

Creative Grooming With Comfort at the Center

While the finished design is incredibly eye-catching, what we love most about Anna Marie’s approach is the thought and care behind the process.

She plans to continue developing Saoirse’s design, potentially adding more details around her thighs and pom poms. Rather than completing everything in one long session, however, Anna Marie has chosen to break the creative process into smaller sessions.

This allows her to take her own fatigue and physical needs into consideration while also making sure Saoirse remains comfortable and happy throughout the experience.

For Anna Marie, creative grooming always comes back to the dog first.

A beautiful design should never come at the expense of a dog’s comfort. By keeping sessions shorter and allowing Saoirse plenty of time off the table, the grooming experience can remain positive and enjoyable for both of them.

Celebrating the Artist Behind the Groom

Anna Marie’s work is a wonderful example of what makes creative grooming so special. It combines artistry, storytelling, personal expression, and an incredible bond between groomer and dog.

Saoirse’s wings aren’t simply a grooming design. They represent freedom, resilience, imagination, and the special relationship she shares with Anna Marie.

Congratulations to Anna Marie Schuth and Saoirse, our Groom of the Month! 🩵💙🪽

We’re so excited to see where Anna Marie takes this design next!
