GotM June: Tae Frans

Tae Fran’s Rainbow Riot - A Celebration of Color, Courage, and Creative Identity
When art and advocacy collide, the result is something truly powerful. For June 2025, GCGA proudly honors Tae Fran as our Groom of the Month for his extraordinary piece, Rainbow Riot, brought to life on his beloved poodle, Rigby.
At first glance, the design dazzles - a high-impact, full-body spectrum of neon brilliance bursting with pride and precision. But beneath the rainbow is a deeper story. Tae’s creation was intentionally timed at the close of Pride Month, serving not only as a visual celebration but as a reminder that the LGBTQIA+ journey - and struggle - doesn’t end on July 1st.
A proud gay trans man based in the Midwest, Tae’s work is both personal and political. In his own words, flamboyant design choices like rainbow dye jobs often “out” him before he has a chance to speak. Yet instead of retreating, he leans in - turning creative grooming into an act of joyful resistance and self-ownership. Rainbow Riot is more than color. It’s visibility. It’s identity. It’s a statement.
From the vibrancy of the color melt to the meticulous attention to blending and aftercare, Tae’s work reflects the very best of GCGA’s creative standards. Every hue tells a story, every inch of the design speaks of technical excellence balanced with heartfelt meaning.
Tae reminds us that art is more than aesthetic - it’s a lifeline, a language, and a declaration of existence. In a world that often demands conformity, Tae chooses color, visibility, and truth.
We’re honored to spotlight him this month and beyond.
As a Groom of the Month, Tae will receive a commemorative plaque, GCGA patch, and a collection of curated gifts - but more importantly, his art will serve as a beacon for others: proof that creative grooming is a medium that speaks volumes when words aren’t enough.
Congratulations, Tae. Your work, and your courage, inspire us all.
