GotM: November/December 2025
As the year drew to a close, our creative grooming community embraced the warmth, joy, and whimsy of the holiday season in our November–December Christmas Groom of the Month Event. This special combined edition celebrated everything we love about festive grooming—bold color, playful concepts, and strong technical skill, all wrapped in unmistakable Christmas spirit.
From classic holiday icons to imaginative seasonal designs, each entry brought something special to the table. The level of creativity made judging especially challenging, with groomers from around the world sharing work that felt joyful, intentional, and full of heart.
After careful consideration, we are excited to announce our top three winners.
3rd Place: Arzu Yurter — $75 cash prize
Arzu Yurter earned third place with a charming Santa-inspired groom that blended technical precision with heartfelt storytelling. She created a soft, sculpted Santa character, complete with a fluffy white beard, rounded features, and gentle color shading that brought warmth and personality to the face.
Subtle pink tones on the cheeks and clean white sculpting added depth and softness, while red accents tied the design firmly into the Christmas theme. The festive presentation enhanced the overall impact, making this groom feel cozy, joyful, and timeless. Arzu’s entry stood out for its emotional appeal and classic holiday charm.
2nd Place: Natalie Christine — $200 cash prize
Taking second place, Natalie Christine delivered a bold and polished Christmas groom inspired by traditional holiday candy and décor. Featuring a crisp white base paired with vibrant red accents, this design immediately evokes candy canes and classic Christmas styling.
Red ears frame the face, while matching cuffs on the legs and tail create balance throughout the groom. Alternating red-and-white banding adds movement and visual interest, and the accents along the hindquarters provides contrast and structure. Clean lines, strong shaping, and confident color placement make this groom feel festive, fun, and technically sound.
1st Place: Carla Altmann — $500 cash prize
Claiming first place, Carla Altmann impressed our team with a groom that fully embraced playful Christmas storytelling. This chocolate poodle was transformed into a living holiday scene, featuring rich brown tones accented with bold pops of red and green.
Fluffy, ornament-like bands wrap the legs in alternating Christmas colors, while decorative details suggest lights and ornaments. One side of the groom features an adorable gingerbread figure sculpted directly into the coat, complete with icing-style trim and candy-inspired accents. Red ears frame the face, and a green garland-style detail ties the entire design together.
Carla’s winning groom is a joyful blend of creativity, color control, and technical excellence—every detail intentional, cohesive, and full of holiday magic.
This November–December showcase was a wonderful way to close out the year. The creativity, passion, and festive spirit shared by our community made this event truly special. Congratulations to Carla, Natalie, and Arzu, and thank you to everyone who participated and shared their holiday creations with us. Each participant will receive a special item in the mail, and our winners will receive a gift package containing a GCGA patch, stickers, a commemorative plaque, as well as other goodies along with their cash prize.
